Who is Phoenix Jones?
Phoenix Jones who? Phoenix Jones is who is on everybody's lips these days. The videos of the Superhero phenomenon Phoenix Jones and his Rain City Superhero movement has spread through media and YouTube like wildfire.
The self-proclaimed Superhero, dressed in black tights, a mask and black lycra suit with yellow/golden details, together with his Rain City Superhero movement (9 members strong) has made it his mission to make Seattle a safer place to live. Keeping within US law, Phoenix Jones wears a bullet proof Kevlar vest, stab protection, and is also armed with a tazer and tear gas for self-protection.
Phoenix Jones and the other 8 members of Rain City Superhero Movement patrol the streets of Seattle at night time, saying that criminals leave when they see the suit and what it represents; a society where the normal man can say no to crime. It all seems very much inspired by the movie “Kick-Ass” in which the main character Dave Lizewski, played by Aaron Johnson, decides to fight crime under the alias “Kick-Ass”, even though he is merely a normal boy without any apparent superpowers besides a desire for justice. Seeing as the movie premiered in March 2010 and that was the month of birth for this crime fighting movement as well. Here is an inspirational scene from Kick-Ass (2010) where Kick-Ass takes on 3 thugs who has ganged up on a man, beating him senseless:
Phoenix Jones first got serious media attention after he helped a man (Dan) stop someone from breaking into his car in Lynnwood, Seattle. You can see the whole incident in the video link below:
Phoenix Jones and two other members of the Rain City Superhero Movement, Red Dragon and Buster Doe, later appeared on national television in a 7 minute clip in which they explain why they do what they do and a little bit more about who they really are.
See the full 7:25 clip here:
It has been reported that Phoenix Jones recently broke his nose breaking up a fight, when he was pistol-whipped.
Phoenix Jones and his Rain City Movement says however, they have no intention of giving up the fight on crime; swearing to keep on protecting Seattle.
“I symbolize the average person doesn’t have to walk around and see bad things and do nothing.” Phoenix Jones (2011)

Where did you hear that Phoenix Jones suffered a broken nose? Because I am not sure if that has been correctly portrayed in the media. Anywho, good article. Like it.
